Licensing

Dear Wakanda community,

Thank you for choosing to download Wakanda. Wakanda is currently available with two different licenses, depending on the component being used. The Wakanda platform itself is made of three primary components:
  • Wakanda Server
  • Wakanda Studio
  • Wakanda Framework (WAF)
The framework part of the product (WAF) has been made available under the GNU GPLv3 license and it's accesible on our Github repository.

We are hard at work preparing the source code for Wakanda Server and Wakanda Studio for release. In the meantime, these other components are provided to you under the Wakanda v1 Release license.

Wakanda pricing will be based on a dual-licensing model.

The open source license will allow developers to develop and deploy business web applications at no cost for internal use or under a compatible open-source license.

A commercial license will be made available at the same time as the production release of Wakanda for companies who require a different license and additional support and services.
