Development Channel

Wakanda's Development Branch is for the ongoing development of the code. While Production Releases and Betas become their own definitive versions, development continues on the main branch. Current development is targeted for future versions of Wakanda, and code is provided "as is" and unsupported. As the Development Branch is not feature frozen and remains a work in progress, you may encounter some instability. It is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. It is therefore strongly advised that you not use the Wakanda Developer Branch for production purposes, given that any use is under your sole responsibility.

Wakanda Ajax Framework (WAF) and Wakanda Server are on GitHub. While Wakanda Server does much of the “heavy lifting” in order to provide a fast back end for your applications, it requires an advanced framework on the client side to keep things running smoothly. The Wakanda Framework (aka WAF) is comprised of a data provider to communicate with the server, interface widgets for the browser-based front end, and a datasource that comes in between.

The Wakanda platform comes in three primary components: Wakanda Server, Wakanda Studio, and the Wakanda Framework ("WAF").

Under Wakanda Community Edition (Scout), the Wakanda Framework is governed by the GNU GPLv3 license, Wakanda Server by AGPLv3, and Wakanda Studio is governed by the Wakanda Studio Community License.

Under Wakanda commercial subscription (Warrior), the Wakanda Framework, Wakanda Server and Wakanda Studio are available under a commercial, "per developer" license governed by the terms and conditions of the Wakanda Subscription Agreement.
