About Wakanda
Named after the Sioux Indian term for "inner magic," Wakanda was born out of the passion for development that has been cultivated for years at 4D. Guided by the company’s long-held philosophy of simplified development and powered by the enthusiasm of an all-new, dedicated team, Wakanda brings to the table both the solid experience of an established company and the boundless energy of young guns who want to leave their mark on the world.
The reasons are simple: We have the knowledge, the experience, and the vision to bring a concept like Wakanda to fruition. We have the desire to share our passion in as open a manner as possible. And we truly wanted to create an awesome way to develop business web applications that’s at once serious and fun.
Web-based clients, distributed implementations and mobile are an ever-increasing part of the development market – some might say the future – and we want to be a leader in this segment. While web application development is certainly viable, its current state of disparate technologies and less than straightforward stack from server to client can be difficult to navigate. It is our goal to provide a unified approach from end to end, without closing the system off to other technologies.
Our reasons for existing are also why we have chosen JavaScript as the foundation of our platform.
